3.2 Megapixel camera
C510a is an easy to use Cyber-shot® camera phone. The 3.2 megapixel camera features auto focus (a significant enhancement over fixed focus), 3.2x digital zoom, Face Detection and Smile ShutterTM technologies, Photo light, and auto rotation of pictures (for switching between portrait and landscape orientations). To help improve picture quality, this Cyber-shot® camera phone also includes Photo fix and BestPic® technologies. The camera lens is protected by an active lens cover and the horizontal user interface allows for easier and more familiar camera handling. All of these features and more come together for the complete camera experience.
Smile ShutterTM technology
Never miss a smile again. The Smile ShutterTM feature allows you to automatically capture a smile the moment it happens. Simply activate the Smile Shutter technology, press the camera key, and wait for your subject to smile. The camera will do the rest to capture the smile in your picture.
BestPic® technology
A unique function for Sony Ericsson camera imaging. Taking a single picture or even a burst of pictures does not always catch the moment, which may have been just before or just after the camera key was pressed. BestPic® technology is designed to help you get better pictures by solving this problem. Press the camera key half way down and the camera starts capturing pictures. Press the key fully down, and seven pictures appear automatically. The pictures range from left (just before pressing the camera key fully down) to center (camera key fully down) to right (just after pressing the camera key fully down). The center picture is the default picture, but not necessarily the best one. Browse the series of 7 pictures and save the best ones.
Bluetooth® wireless technology
C510a features simultaneous Bluetooth® wireless technology connections. That means that several compatible devices can be connected up to 10 meters (33 ft) away using Bluetooth® wireless technology. For example, you can answer a call with a compatible Bluetooth® headset while using Bluetooth® wireless technology to send images to another compatible phone at the same time. Several compatible phones can take part in a Bluetooth® wireless technology-supported game. Bluetooth® 2.0 + EDR is supported on this device, as well as additional profiles such as Bluetooth® audio streaming (A2DP), Bluetooth® audio video remote control (to control the phone's music player from a compatible accessory), and Bluetooth® PAN to connect to the Internet using Bluetooth® wireless technology.

C510a is 3G-enabled for tri-band HSPA (850/1900/2100 MHz). Please check with your preferred carrier for 3G service plans, frequency band requirements and to obtain 3G-enabled SIM cards.
Face Detection technology
This camera focus setting brings off-center faces into focus when people are in the picture. The camera will find and focus on up to 3 faces to make them look sharp in the picture. No more blurred faces in your pictures!
Auto rotate
Capturing a portrait photo with a horizontal camera usually results in a picture that must be rotated when viewed. Auto rotate registers picture orientation when the picture is taken, whether in portrait or landscape mode, and saves this information with the picture. When viewed, the picture appears as the orientation with which it was taken. You can also rotate the phone and watch the photo rotate too.
Email
Utilize the built-in email client with inbox, outbox, compose/send and other functions for your email needs. C510a supports POP3 and IMAP4 protocols and offers message management, including user selectable inbox size, the ability to save messages to Memory Stick MicroTM media (sold separately), and the option to arrange messages by date, size and email address.
Music player 3.0
A digital music players that lets you play transferred or downloaded music and audio. The navigation system enables you, for example, to browse through your favorite tracks and create simple play lists. The music player includes Mega Bass technology, an audio feature that enhances bass frequencies for a better overall music experience. C510a also supports stereo Bluetooth® technology (A2DP), which allows you to stream music wirelessly to compatible music devices.
FM radio with TrackID® technology
Listen to FM radio with presets, auto search and manual search. The included handsfree headset is used as an antenna. The TrackID® feature can identify tracks playing on the radio.
PictBridge® - Camera printing
Print photos from the phone by connecting a compatible USB cable (sold separately) directly to a printer, no computer or photo editing software required.
Photo fix
This camera feature improves an under-exposed photo by calculating and adjusting the light balance.

Flight mode
Flight mode allows the phone to start with all of the phone radio transceivers inactive. While in flight mode certain functions such as the calendar, the music player or a game are available. Bluetooth® wireless technology is available in Flight mode.
PhotoDJTM software
