How long can I use Zicam Cold Sore Gel Swabs?
Do not use Zicam Cold Sore Gel Swabs for more than 14 days unless directed by a physician or dentist. Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist.

No. Zicam Cold Sore Gel Swabs are for external use only. If swallowed, get medical help or contact your Poison Control Center immediately.

Directions: Adults and children three years of age and older:
- For best results, use at the first sign of a cold sore/fever blister and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside.
- Hold tube between thumb and forefinger at silver band.
- With other hand, hold at base of handle and snap open tube.
- Pull out swab.
- Apply medication directly to affected area.
- Discard swab after use.
- Use one swab every four hours.
Children under three years of age:
- Consult a doctor before to use.
