The Nextar 43NT is an entry-level automotive GPS receiver designed to provide navigation and entertainment functionality. The receiver features a 4.3" color touchscreen LCD display with day and night modes which adjusts the screen to the appropriate lighting conditions. It offers instant route recalculations and has a built-in speaker with text-to-speech functionality to provide voice-guided directions and turn-by-turn voice prompts. The Nextar 43NT comes preloaded with US maps, 1.6 million points of interest, and has 2D and 3D map viewing modes. It differs from the 43LT since it lacks the live traffic receiver but has a larger address book which stores up to 300 addresses. The receiver includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for handheld navigation and also has a built-in MP3 player and photo viewer for in-car entertainment. The Nextar 43NT comes with car mounting hardware and has a 1 year limited warranty.
