Condylox is the brand name of podofilox, an antimitotic drug which can be chemically synthesized or purified from the plant families Coniferae and Berberidaceae (e.g. species of Juniperus and Podophyllum). Condylox 0.5% Solution is formulated for topical administration. Each milliliter of solution contains 5 mg of podofilox, in a vehicle containing lactic acid and sodium lactate in alcohol 95%, USP.

Follow the directions for using Condylox 0.5% Solution provided by your doctor. CONDYLOX 0.5% SOLUTION IS FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Condylox 0.5% Solution comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about Condylox 0.5% Solution. APPLY CONDYLOX 0.5% SOLUTION USING the supplied applicator. Apply only the minimum amount needed to cover the wart. WASH YOUR HANDS thoroughly after using Condylox 0.5% Solution. Allow the medicine to dry before allowing other skin surfaces to touch the treated area. ANY LEFTOVER MEDICINE or supplies used with Condylox 0.5% Solution should be placed in a plastic bag and disposed of as instructed by your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. STORE CONDYLOX 0.5% SOLUTION at room temperature in the original tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. Do not freeze.

Apply twice daily morning and evening (every 12 hours), for 3 consecutive days, then withhold use for 4 consecutive days. This one week cycle of treatment may be repeated up to four times until there is no visible wart tissue. If there is incomplete response after four treatment weeks, alternative treatment should be considered. Safety and effectiveness of more than four treatment weeks have not been established.

SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include burning, pain, redness, swelling, or itching. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use Condylox 0.5% Solution for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. If your symptoms do not improve within 4 weeks or if they become worse, check with your doctor. AVOID GETTING CONDYLOX 0.5% SOLUTION IN YOUR EYES or on the inside of your nose and mouth. If you get Condylox 0.5% Solution in your eyes, rinse them with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Condylox 0.5% Solution during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF CONDYLOX 0.5% SOLUTION IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while using Condylox 0.5% Solution.
